Bible Year Privacy Policy

Effective October 25, 2026

Bible Year is an iPhone app made by Late Summer Labs, LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy covers what the app collects and why. The short version: there are no accounts, your reading stays on your devices, and we never sell anything about you.

Your reading stays with you

Your journey, progress, highlights and notes are saved on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud account, so they follow you to a new phone. We can’t see them. Deleting the app removes them from that device.

Ask (optional)

Ask is off until you agree to it, and you can turn it off any time in Settings → Ask. When it’s on and you ask a question, the question and the nearby verses are sent to Google’s Gemini AI model through Google Firebase to write an answer. Nothing else is sent: not your notes, highlights or progress. We use Google’s paid service terms, under which Google does not use prompts or answers to improve its products; Google may keep them for a limited time to detect abuse and meet legal requirements. Firebase App Check confirms requests come from the real app.

Usage statistics and crash reports

To learn what’s working and fix bugs, the app uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They collect:

These are not linked to your name, email or Apple ID, and are not used for advertising or tracking you across other apps. Turn them off any time in Settings → Privacy.

Purchases

The Year Pass is sold through Apple. Apple handles payment; we never see your card or Apple ID. The app checks with Apple whether your Pass is active.

When you write to us

If you send feedback or email us, we get your message, your email address, and the app version and iOS version the app adds to help us answer. We use it only to reply and improve the app.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent personal information. The only companies involved are the providers named above (Apple, and Google for Firebase and Gemini), each under its own privacy terms.

Your choices

Children

Bible Year is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
